FLY THE FLAG FOR NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNTY DAY - ST CRISPINS DAY

The Northamptonshire flag is the official flag of Northamptonshire county and was registered with the Flag Institute on 11th September 2014.

The flag was designed by Brady Ells and Ian Chadwick and was the winning design chosen in a public vote.  The Northamptonshire flag consists of a gold cross fimbriated in black on a maroon field with a rose in the centre. The cross represents the county's location as a crossroads in England, the colours were inspired by the county's cricket and football teams. The black border represents the county's leather industry. A rose was selected for the centre as it had long been a symbol of the county.
