CELEBRATE LANCASHIRE DAY AND FLY THE FLAG - 27th November 2015
The flag of Lancashire was registered in 2008. The Lancashire county flag consists of the red rose, the traditional symbol of Lancashire county, with a yellow background. This colour was chosen, along with the red, as they are the livery colours of Lancashire county. Lancashire Day was first held in 1996.
It is held on 27 November to commemorate the day in 1295 when Lancashire first sent representatives to Parliament, to attend the Model Parliament of King Edward I.
