SUPPORT THE FIRST TOUR DE YORKSHIRE 1st MAY to 3rd MAY 2015.
The Tour de Yorkshire 2015 begins in Bridlington on 1st May 2015, and 174km later it will finish up the coast in Scarborough. It will take in some of the county's most spectacular scenery including the North Yorkshire moors.
There will be a ceremonial start on Stage One at 11.45am on South Marine Drive outside the Bridlington Spa. The cyclists will ride 5km before the offical race start at 12.00 at Sewerby. The finish should be between 16.00pm and 16.30pm on Royal Albert Drive in Scarborough.
Stage Two will begin on 2nd May at 11.20am outside Selby Abbey and finish in York on Knavesmire Road between 15.30pm and 16.00pm after another gruelling 174km. As part of the legacy of the Tour de France and to get more women into cycling there will be a dedicated women's event on a circuit through York also on Day Two.
Stage Three is 167 km and will start at 12.15pm at Wakefield Cathedral- taking in along the way, Holmfirth, Ilkley, Barnsley and Hebden Bridge AND 6 classified and brutal climbs including the Cow and Calf before racing into Roundhay Park in Leeds to finish around 16.30pm to 17.00pm!
The cycling teams taking part in the Tour de Yorkshire 2015 are - BMC RACING TEAM, TEAM SKY, TEAM WIGGINS, COFIDIS, SOLUTIONS CREDITS, CULT ENERGY PRO CYCLING, IAM CYCLING, MTN-QHUBEKA, TEAM EUROPCAR, TEAM GIANT-ALPECIN, TEAM LOTTO NL-JUMBO, TOPSPORT VLAANDEREN-BALOISE, TEAM ROOMPOT ORANJE PELOTON, ONE PRO CYCLING, NFTO, TEAM GB, MADISON GENESIS, JLT CONDOR AND TEAM RALEIGH GAC.
This will be a fantastic event, showcasing the county of Yorkshire, and allowing thousands of fans to be part of this wonderful spectacle.
