The eagerly anticipated World Cup 2018 qualifying clash between bitter rivals England and Scotland will take place on the 11th November - Armistice Day. As expected, on this momentous British date, all proud Scots and English will be wearing their Poppies to remember those who have fallen. Players will also be wearing the Poppies, despite protests from FIFA who see the flower as a political symbol. The English and Scottish FAs have overruled the ban and allowed players to wear their Poppies with pride - meaning this will be one rare occasion where Scots and English will stand side by side in unity to respect those who gave their lives so we can enjoy the freedom we have today.
West Ham defender Cresswell joins the squad for the first time in the World Cup qualifier against Scotland on Friday because of an injury to Danny Drinkwater.
Scotland forward Steven Fletcher may not play after picking up a knee injury, but Robert Snodgrass who had been expected to miss the game came back from injury to score at the weekend for Hull so is now expected to play.
