After the monumental achievement of reaching the last sixteen at Euro 2016, Northern Ireland will be full of confidence going in to the qualifying stages for the 2018 World Cup. Despite being outsiders for a win against the Czech’s, the Northern Ireland boys will be brimming with confidence after such a successful summer.

Twenty six year old Aberdeen defender Callum Morris has received a first call-up to the Northern Ireland squad for the World Cup qualifier (Tom Flanagan has withdrawn due to a thigh injury). Defender Ryan McGivern and midfielder Matthew Lund have also been added to the squad.

The two teams have previously met on four occasions resulting in two draws and two victories for the Czech Republic.
