The flag of Curacao was adopted on July 2nd, 1984. The stars represent the 2 islands of Curacao, and are symbols of peace and happiness. The 5 points of the stars represent the continents from which the islands settlers came. The upper blue of the flag symbolises the sky, and the lower the sea. The yellow stripe stands for the tropical sun.
