In 1776 George Washington and two representatives of Congress, Colonel Ross and Robert Morris, asked flag maker Betsy Ross to make a flag according to a rough drawing they carried with them. At Mrs Ross's suggestion, stars with five points were used instead of six.
This great value Betsy Ross flag measures 5ft x 3ft and is printed onto quality polyester in bold, clear colours and designs. It comes finished as standard with 2 metal grommets/eyelets for hanging on a flagpole.
